Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide adult and neonatal care in a high-acuity unit. Responsibilities include ABG and PFT procedures, ventilator support, and airway management, performed under supervision per department policy.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program, current BLS/ACLS, Texas license in good standing and NBRC registration, with NRP/PALS to be obtained within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Texas license in good standing and NBRC registered.
• NRP/PALS must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Minimum 6 months respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen, aerosols, and ventilation support.
• Interprets ABG, PFT, CXR data and adjusts therapy accordingly.
• Performs diagnostic procedures: ABG, pulse oximetry, PFTs, ECG.
• Maintains and troubleshoots respiratory care equipment.
• Participates in infection control, safety and quality assurance.
• Documents care and communicates with the care team.
