Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to perform a range of respiratory therapies and diagnostic procedures for adults and neonates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current ACLS certification required.
• NRP and Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board in good standing.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• At least 6 months of respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutics: oxygen admin, weaning, humidity therapy, airway maintenance, bronchial hygiene, chest physio, CPR, and mechanical ventilation.
• Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures: ABG analysis, pulse oximetry, PFTs, ECGs.
• Prepare treatment evaluations: bedside assessment, patient interview, medical record review.
• Use critical thinking to determine appropriate actions.
• Interpret CXR, ABG, and PFT data when reviewing patient data.
• Maintain and troubleshoot cardiopulmonary equipment and work areas.
