Qualifications

Certificate in Respiratory Therapy required.
AS degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
BLS certification required.
ACLS preferred.
PALS preferred.
NRP certification preferred.
Florida Licensed Respiratory Therapist DOH required.

Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with breathing disorders.
Administer respiratory therapies.
Perform and interpret diagnostic tests.
Monitor and manage mechanical ventilators for patients.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatments.
Provide patient education on breathing techniques, medications, and lifestyle changes.
Maintain accurate and complete patient assessments, treatments, and progress documentation.
