Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for our Beaches location on a PRN, night shift. The ideal candidate will excel in a high-stress, fast-paced environment and deliver expert respiratory care.

You will assess and treat patients with breathing disorders, administer respiratory therapies, monitor mechanical ventilators, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to create individualized treatment plans. Florida licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Certificate is required.
• Associate of Science degree preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications preferred.
• Florida licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (DOH) required.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with breathing disorders
• Administering respiratory therapies
• Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests
• Monitoring and managing mechanical ventilators for patients who require respiratory support
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Providing patient education and support on proper breathing techniques, medication usage, and lifestyle changes
• Maintaining accurate and complete patient assessments, treatments, and progress documentation
