Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our clinical care team. You will administer therapy, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with physicians, nurses and families to ensure optimal lung health across all ages.

Two years' critical care experience is preferred; licensure by the Texas Medical Board and NBRC-RRT certification are required, with BLS and NICU-NRP as applicable.

Qualifications

• Two years of critical care experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program (A.A.S.; Bachelor's preferred).
• Texas Medical Board license required.
• Certified by NBRC as RRT.
• BLS certification by AHA; NRP for NICU as required.

Responsibilities

• Administer therapy per department policies and treatment plans.
• Document care and manage EMR orders accurately.
• Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment safely.
• Educate patients and families about therapies and procedures.
• Support charge therapist and participate in department meetings.
• Maintain supplies and coordinate with biomedical services.
• Participate in Quality Assurance activities.
