Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a full-time night or day shift. The role collaborates with clinicians, patients, and families to support lung health across adult, geriatric, and neonatal populations.

The RRT applies and monitors therapeutic modalities, manages ventilatory support, airway care, and respiratory medications. Requirements include 2 years of critical care experience, an accredited A.A.S.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of critical care preferred.
• A.A.S Graduate of accredited program in respiratory care (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• License by the Texas Medical Board
• Registered by the NBRC (RRT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NRP is required to work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Responsibilities

• Administer therapy per department policies and plans.
• Perform procedures with high expertise and operate equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment and therapies; educate families.
• Document accurately and SBAR shift reports.
• Support charge therapist and attend department meetings.
• Maintain supplies and report equipment issues.
• Participate in Quality Assurance activities.
• Adhere to attendance and schedule policies.
