Job summary

Mercy South in St. Louis, MO seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders. You will consult on therapy effectiveness and act as a resource for physicians and nursing staff.

Openings include Day and Night shifts; roles may be Part-time (24 hours/week) or Full-Time (36 hours/week) with a $20,000 sign-on bonus for RRTs. All RTs rotate to NICU for critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in the state.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC). For ER, PALS is required.
• PALS for ER personnel and ACLS preferred where applicable.
• Prefer critical care experience and ability to handle high-acuity patients.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned and rotates to NICU for training.
