Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide and supervise respiratory care across patient care areas in New Jersey, under the supervision of Respiratory Services leadership. The role involves evaluation, treatment and education of patients with pulmonary disorders, and support for life-sustaining respiratory therapies.

The starting hourly rate is $44.41 with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time new graduates and transfers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Care program.
• Associate degree.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all clinical aspects of Respiratory Care.
• NJ Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
• NJ Registered Respiratory Therapist Certificate.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists in diagnosis, treatment and management of pulmonary disorders.
• Performs cardiopulmonary evaluation and respiratory therapy procedures.
• Administers and monitors respiratory therapy equipment and pharmacologic agents.
• Maintains and adheres to infection control policies while delivering care.
• Records patient data in the EMR system (EPIC).
• Responds to emergencies and trauma codes as needed.
• Oversees technicians to ensure clinical compliance.
