Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a part-time Registered Respiratory Therapist to work under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Services. The role provides and administers respiratory care and equipment per policy; required certifications include BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS as noted.

The position involves performing CP evaluations, managing ventilators, and supporting emergencies while ensuring patient and family education and compliance with infection control.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Care program.
• Associate degree in Respiratory Care or related field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all clinical aspects of Respiratory Care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnosis, treatment and management of pulmonary disorders per physician prescription.
• Perform cardiopulmonary evaluation, monitoring and education for patients and families.
• Operate and monitor respiratory equipment, document in EPIC, and adjust care as needed.
• Manage life support systems and participate in emergency/trauma codes.
• Maintain ventilators and perform infection control protocols.
