Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide and administer all aspects of respiratory care therapy under supervision. You will diagnose, treat, and manage pulmonary disorders, perform evaluations, and educate patients and families.

The role requires a graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Care program with an Associate degree and NJ BLS/ACLS; NJ RCP license and RRT certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Care program.
• Associate degree in Respiratory Care or related field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of clinical Respiratory Care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnosis, treatment and management of pulmonary disorders per physician prescription.
• Perform cardiopulmonary evaluation, monitoring and patient education.
• Administer and monitor respiratory care procedures and equipment.
• Record procedures and patient response in EPIC EMR.
• Operate and maintain invasive and non-invasive respiratory equipment.
• Participate in life-support patient management and wean studies.
• Respond to emergency and trauma codes.
• Oversee respiratory care technicians to ensure policy compliance.
