Job summary

Mercy offers opportunities for Respiratory Care Practitioners to provide direct patient care across respiratory therapies under physician orders. You will consult with physicians on the effectiveness of therapy and act as an advanced resource for the care team.

Ideal candidates graduate from a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, hold a current RCP license and NBRC RRT credential. PALS is required for ER staff; ACLS and other certifications are preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in respiratory therapy per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
