Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care as ordered by physicians. You will consult on therapy effectiveness and serve as a resource to physicians and nursing teams.

The role requires graduate training from a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program, a current RCP license, and NBRC RRT credential; ER staff may require PALS, with ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Hold a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• For ER coworkers, PALS is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care as ordered by physicians.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
