Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care professional to provide direct patient care according to physician orders and to consult with physicians on the effectiveness of therapy. You will serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care, performing duties as assigned across patient care areas.

Education must include graduation from a CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program with NBRC RRT credentials; ACLS is preferred and PALS is required for ER staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• ACLS preferred.
• PALS required for ER staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
