Job summary

Mercy in Cincinnati is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver direct patient care according to physician orders and to consult on the effectiveness of therapies. You will act as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff and perform duties as assigned.

Requirements include graduation from a CoARC-approved program, current RCP license, NBRC RRT credential, and ACLS preferred. ER PALS is required for ER staff; expect physical demands consistent with respiratory care duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required by state.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• ER staff: PALS required for ER assignments.
• Physical demands include pushing/pulling/gripping up to 50 lbs, kneeling, crouching, crawling.
• ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in respiratory therapy per physician orders.
• Consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness.
• Serve as advanced resource person for physicians and nursing staff.
• Perform duties as assigned.
