Ascension is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for the Freestanding ED in Navarre, FL. This part-time night-shift role offers the opportunity to work in a dedicated emergency setting within Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola.

You will assess patients, implement and monitor respiratory care plans, monitor outcomes, and respond to emergencies. Florida licensure with BLS and ED experience are required.

Qualificações

• BLS Provider required within 1 month of hire date.
• Respiratory Therapist credential must be current in Florida.
• Prior ED experience is preferred.

• Evaluate respiratory treatment effectiveness and adjust as needed.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develops a plan of care based on diagnosis.
• Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition. Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
• Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
• Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.
• Respond to emergency resuscitation team code.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Florida Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Previous ED experience
