Job summary

Ascension is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN to join the Freestanding ER team in Panama City Beach, FL. You will assess patients, implement treatment plans, and deliver high‑quality nursing care for acute and urgent conditions.

You will monitor patient status, communicate changes promptly, and collaborate with physicians, EMS, and support staff to ensure efficient flow and safe transitions during the emergency visit.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience.
• PALS certification.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Florida prior to hire; multi-state license (Compact State) may be required.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date require. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Additional Preferences

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience.
• PALS certification.
