Job summary

Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Respiratory Care Specialist for a full-time day shift. You will deliver high-level respiratory care to patients with complex needs, manage equipment and care modalities, and educate patients and families on conditions and resources.

Ideal candidates hold Maryland RCP licensure with NBRC registration and BLS. ACLS/PALS are preferred. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered, and the team supports growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire date.
• RCP credentialing from MD Board obtained prior to hire.
• NBRC Registered credential required prior to hire.
• ALS/PALS preferred per facility policy.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and provide high-level care for patients with complex respiratory insufficiencies.
• Analyze patient needs to determine treatment types and frequencies.
• Implement and monitor respiratory equipment and advanced care modalities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, community resources, and long-term support programs.
• Provide intervention during code situations and life-critical events.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

• Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred.

• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
