Job summary

Norton Healthcare, Inc. in Louisville, KY is seeking a Registered Radiology Technologist to produce high-quality diagnostic images using imaging equipment, applying anatomy knowledge and radiation safety standards.

You will prepare patients for procedures, educate and respond to questions, ensure age-appropriate communication, and oversee and train students providing patient care. A strong focus on infection control and quality control is essential.

Qualifications

• RO license and ARRT-R required.
• ROT license and ARRT-R must be obtained before ROT expiration.
• One year of experience in general radiography preferred.

Responsibilities

The Registered Radiology Technologist utilizes imaging, computer and other equipment as appropriate to produce and retain high quality diagnostic images which meet or exceed department, organizational and industry standards. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the human anatomy, physiology, as well as image quality. Applying professional knowledge, prepares patients for the procedure, educates and responds to questions or concerns. Ensures age appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, patient education and principles of physical/functional growth and development. Demonstrates an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment and services as part of their training.
