Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. The role focuses on diagnostic imaging, patient care, and collaboration with radiologists and physicians to deliver high-quality results.

You will maintain competency, perform exams per protocol, ensure patient safety, and support education and infection control while contributing to a fast-paced imaging team.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification current in radiology.
• Radiologic technologist license for practicing state.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• May need MA competency for clinic/InstaCare settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT or modality competency in clinical/technical tasks.
• Ensure proper patient ID, verify orders, and prep for exams.
• Perform exams per protocol; review images for quality and accuracy.
• Adhere to radiation safety and maintain a safe work environment.
• Complete studies within acceptable timeframes while preserving care/quality.
• Assist and instruct students and other radiology staff in protocols.
• Provide patient education, comfort, and address concerns.
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operate equipment and information systems to ensure quality imaging.
• Keep accurate records of patient data, procedures, and adverse events.
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC, and reporting equipment issues.
