Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. You will work with radiologists and staff to produce high-quality images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification is required.
• Radiologic technologist license in state of practice is required.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers is required.
• May be required to complete the MA Competency Checklist and perform MA duties in a clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Prepares patients for exams and verifies patient identification and orders.
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising care or quality.
• Assists and instructs students and other radiology staff in protocols and positioning.
• Provides patient education and addresses concerns; ensures comfort.
• Follows infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information, procedures, and adverse reactions.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, and reports equipment failures.
