Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide direct rehab care in our facility in Overland Park, Kansas. The OT will work with physicians and the care team to implement treatment plans and ensure patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications include NBCOT certification, a BSOT or MSOT degree, active state licensure, and CPR certification. New grads are welcome, with a preference for candidates with 1 year of experience in post-acute settings.

Qualifications

• NBCOT certification required at hire; renewal optional.
• BSOT or MSOT from accredited program.
• Active state license and good standing.
• 1 year experience preferred; new grads welcome.
• CPR certification at hire or during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Follow occupational treatment plans for patients (ADLs).
• Establish and modify measurable goals.
• Oversee and evaluate care by OTAs, Rehab Aides, and students.
• Chart appropriately and timely.
• Utilize therapy software accurately.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward patients.
• Assist in evacuation of patients.
• Communicate effectively on an interdisciplinary team.
