Novant Health's East Cooper Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, SC, is seeking a WOC Nurse to serve as a clinical resource, educator, and consultant for wound, ostomy, and continence care. The ideal candidate holds an active South Carolina RN license, CWOCN certification, BLS, and ACLS within 90 days, with 3–5 years of nursing experience and strong wound management expertise.

Position Summary
The WOC Nurse serves as a clinical resource, educator, and consultant to the healthcare team in the management and implementation of care plans for patients with gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary disorders. Areas of clinical expertise include:
• Ostomies
• Fistulae
• Tubes
• Dermal wounds
• Incontinence management
This role focuses on optimizing outcomes through direct care, staff education, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. The WOC Nurse provides care for patients of all ages, but the primary focus will be adult and geriatric populations.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as a clinical expert and educator in wound, ostomy, and continence care
• Support the healthcare staff in developing and implementing individualized care plans
• Provide hands-on care for patients with complex wound or ostomy needs
• Consult on best practices and evidence-based protocols for skin integrity and wound prevention
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, education sessions, and patient discharge planning
Ensure compliance with clinical standards, hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines
