Job summary

Novant Health in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a Registered Nurse specialized in wound care to join the WHC (Wound Clinic). The role is full-time with a Monday-Friday 8am-5pm schedule and travel to three locations (Winston-Salem, Kernersville, Thomasville).

You will assess wounds, develop care plans, perform treatments, monitor progress, educate patients, and ensure EMR documentation while collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in wound care.
• Current RN license in North Carolina or applicable state.
• Wound certification preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess, stage, and document wounds.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Perform wound treatments (cleansing, debridement, dressing).
• Monitor healing progress and adjust care as needed.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on wound care and prevention.
• Collaborate with providers and care teams.
• Ensure infection control compliance.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• Experience: 2 years, required.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in appropriate state, required. Wound Certification, preferred.
• Additional Skills (required):
  • Excellent oral and written communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to provide care with minimal supervision.
