Job summary

Novant Health’s Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a dedicated RN to provide comprehensive nursing care for high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients on the Women's unit.

This full-time night shift includes weekend and holiday rotation, with two call shifts every six weeks. You’ll monitor maternal and fetal status, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina; required.
• If RN license is inactive, retired, or lapsed for five years or more, must complete a Board-approved refresher before reinstatement.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status for complications and intervene as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.

What We Offer

• Schedule: Full-time (36 hours), 7P-7A (nights) Weekend & holiday rotation required, 2 call shifts per 6 week time tract required.

• Unit Info: High risk antepartum and postpartum/GYN patients on this unit. Assisting with fetal monitoring & surgical complications. 18 bed unit & diverse patient population ranging in age

What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients, including ongoing maternal and fetal assessments
• Monitor patients for complications such as preeclampsia, preterm labor, hemorrhage, diabetes, and hypertension.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions in emergency situations.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
