Job summary

Novant Health’s Women’s Operating Room seeks an RN to join a close-knit team supporting OB/GYN surgical care at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (8:30am–5:00pm) with some on-call duties discussed during interview.

Requirements include a BSN or RN-licensure, and 1 year of relevant experience preferred. New team members receive benefits starting on day one and join a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms by ensuring availability and functionality of surgical instruments, supplies, implants, medications, and equipment.
• Assist with room setup and maintain sterile fields according to established surgical and infection control standards.
• Function in scrub and/or circulator roles during surgical procedures
• Anticipate surgeon, anesthesia provider, and surgical team needs throughout procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
