Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN for the Mother/Baby unit. You will care for mothers and newborns, supporting families through postpartum recovery and newborn education.

Qualifications

Join the Family Care Unit at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center and bring your nursing experience to a team providing compassionate care for mothers, newborns, and families during the postpartum journey.

Our Mother/Baby unit provides couplet care for mothers and newborns, with nurses typically caring for 3-4 couplets. You'll support families from postpartum recovery through newborn care and education, while closely monitoring both mother and baby for changes in condition.

We're especially interested in nurses with experience in Mother/Baby, maternal-child health, postpartum care, or Women's Services. We also welcome experienced Med/Surg nurses who bring strong assessment skills, adaptability, a growth-minded approach, and a genuine drive to develop their expertise in Mother/Baby nursing.

Schedule: Full-Time, 36 hours per week

Shift: Night Shift, three 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend

Holiday Rotation: Rotating annual team holiday assignment

What We're Looking For

• Education:
  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
