Job summary

New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a medicalized withdrawal management and residential treatment setting for Northern New Mexico. The RN will work closely with the Nurse Practitioner, RNs, and Patient Care Assistants to meet clinical needs and ensure timely workflows.

The ideal candidate holds an NM RN license, with strong documentation, leadership abilities, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN license in New Mexico or eligibility for licensure
• Experience providing direct patient care in withdrawal management is preferred
• Strong documentation and communication skills required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care during withdrawal management
• Coordinate with Nurse Practitioner and Patient Care Assistants to meet client needs
• Manage admissions processes including Nursing Assessments, vitals, and documentation
• Conduct blood glucose and Breathalyzer testing, blood draws as needed
• Develop and document treatment and discharge plans, ensure de-escalation and quality control
