Job summary

Regions Hospital is seeking a Vascular Access Nurse to perform PICC and Midline placements under physician orders, manage PICCs including removal and declotting, and assess patients for PICC needs. The role supports improvement in PICC practices within a Level I Trauma Center.

Qualified candidates hold an RN license for Minnesota, have 2 years of med/surg patient care, and 2 years' experience in infusion delivery, with CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of an associate, baccalaureate or master's degree program in Nursing.
• 2 years of direct patient care in a med/surg setting in acute care.
• 2 years of experience in infusion delivery.
• Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota.
• CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Placement of PICC and Midline lines under physician order.
• PICC management duties: removal, declotting, dressing, and troubleshooting.
• Assess patients to determine PICC indication and need.
• Participate in performance improvement activities related to PICC practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Vascular Access Nurse to join our team and make a difference for our patients and our community. This position performs placement of peripherally inserted central lines (PICC) and Midlines under the order of a physician.Performs other procedures related to PICC management including PICC removal, PICC declotting, dressing application/care and troubleshooting.Assesses and identifies patients for whom a PICC is indicated.Participates in performance improvement activities related to PICC practices and performs other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: 0.70 Evenings. Every other weekend rotation.

Required Qualifications:
