Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA seeks a RN Unit Leader for the Intermediate Care/Stepdown unit. You will provide clinical leadership, lead safety and quality initiatives, and mentor staff in a fast-paced IMC environment.

The role requires RN licensure in Virginia or compact states, ACLS/PALS or ENPC within 1 year, and BLS within 90 days. Full-time, 36 hours weekly, day shift.

Qualifications

• RN-Bachelor’s Degree required; RN-Master’s Degree preferred.
• ACLS & PALS or ENPC within one year of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• 18 months nursing experience required; BSN preferred; master’s degree preferred if not in nursing.

Responsabilités

• Lead care on CarePlex’s Stroke/IMC unit and oversee nursing practice.
• Provide clinical leadership for delivery of nursing care and safety initiatives.
• Mentor staff and participate in shared governance to shape unit culture and quality of care.
• Support nurses and collaborate with department leadership to improve workflows and patient outcomes.

Sentara Careplex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care/Stepdown Unit.

The RN unit Coordinator Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.

Education

• RN-Bachelor’s Degree
• RN-Master’s Degree

Certification/Licensure

• Virginia or Compact Multi-state RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing.
• ACLS & PALS or ENPC within one (1) year of hire
• BLS within 90 days of hire

Experience

• Experienced RN
• 18 months nursing experience required. BSN required; Master degree preferred, if the graduate degree is not in nursing then the BSN is required.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $47.42 - $68.63 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
