Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, VA is hiring an RN for the Intermediate Care/Stepdown Unit. The RN unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing and provides clinical leadership under the department manager, driving safety initiatives and staff development.

The role requires BSN with MSN preferred, Virginia or compact RN license, ACLS/PALS or ENPC within a year, and BLS within 90 days. 18 months of RN experience is needed. 36 hours/week, day shifts, full-time.

• Virginia or Compact Multi-state RN license in good standing.
• ACLS & PALS or ENPC within one year of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• 18 months nursing experience required.
• BSN required; Master degree preferred if the graduate degree is not in nursing then the BSN is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead care on Careplex’s Stroke Unit and IMC.
• Provide clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care.
• Focus on safety, quality initiatives and workflow efficiency.
• Mentor staff and contribute to unit culture and patient care.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $47.42 - $68.63 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
