Registered Nurse Summary:
The Total Joint Clinical Registered Nurse supports a high-volume total hip and knee replacement practice by providing comprehensive preoperative and postoperative nursing care, patient education, clinical assessment, and care coordination. The RN works collaboratively with the orthopedic surgeon, advanced practice providers, clinical staff, surgery scheduling, and external healthcare providers to ensure patients are prepared for surgery and receive timely follow-up throughout recovery.
This position promotes surgical readiness, patient safety, continuity of care, efficient patient flow, and timely access to orthopedic services. The RN coordinates and tracks medical clearances but does not independently grant medical clearance or determine surgical readiness.
