Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville seeks an experienced RN for Telemetry to provide compassionate, evidence-based care. You will monitor patient status, communicate with the care team, and coordinate across hospitalists, cardiologists, and NPs to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires an RN diploma or equivalent licensure, TN nursing license, BLS within 30 days, and 6+ months acute care experience, with ACLS preferred. Day shift, full-time opportunity with growth options.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of acute care nursing experience
• BLS Provider within 1 Month of hire date (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from TN Board of Nursing or multi-state Compact State recognized prior to hire date
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure

Responsibilities

• Lead compassionate, evidence-based nursing care following safety standards and protocols.
• Monitor and communicate real-time patient status to care team for timely decisions.
• Coordinate care across hospitalists, cardiologists, and NPs for seamless patient experience.
• Execute advanced clinical skills including cardiac drip titration and ACLS protocols for high-acuity patients.
• Manage full discharge process ensuring clear transitions for patients and families.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Lead the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based nursing care, ensuring every intervention aligns with the highest safety standards and organizational protocols.
• Monitor and communicate real-time patient status to the care team, enabling swift, life-saving clinical decisions.
• Coordinate care efforts across multiple specialties, acting as the central hub between hospitalists, cardiologists, and NPs to provide a seamless, high-quality patient experience.
• Execute advanced clinical skills, including cardiac drip titration and ACLS protocols, to provide expert-level support for our most high-acuity patients.
• Manage the full discharge process, ensuring patients and families transition from the unit with clarity and confidence.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
