Qualifications

Education: Associate's degree or graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Experience: Previous nursing experience preferred.
Credentials: NJ RN license; AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider.
Certifications: TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, PALS, NRP as applicable by unit.
Ongoing education: 8 hours Trauma-related CNE annually for ICU/Trauma units; 8 hours Stroke-related CNE annually for applicable units.

Responsibilities

Delivers quality care to patients through a team effort in the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Ensures patient safety by following policies and procedures.
Supports pain management with pharmacological and non-pharmacological measures; assists patient/family.
Communicates patient information effectively during handoffs and discharge planning.
Participates in performance improvement activities and Joint Commission readiness.
Engages in unit-based committees and staffing planning as needed.
