Capital Health in New Jersey is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time, 36-hour work week. The position involves delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring safety, and coordinating pain management and discharge planning. Requires NJ RN license, BLS, and additional certifications per unit assignment.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s degree or graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience: None; previous nursing experience preferred.
• Credentials: AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider, Registered Nurse - NJ.
• TNCC and 8 hours of Trauma CNE if assigned to ICU/ED (within 1 year).
• NIH Stroke Scale certification and 8 hours of Stroke CNE if assigned to Critical Care/Neuro units.
• ACLS within 6 months for specified departments; NRP and PALS if assigned to maternity/ER.
• Usual work day: 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality care to patients through nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Ensures patient safety by following policies and procedures.
• Supports pain management with pharmacological and non-pharmacological measures.
• Coordinates with care team to plan discharge and patient education.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and Joint Commission readiness.
• Contributes to unit staffing planning and education as needed.
