Job summary

Capital Health in Trenton, NJ, is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process across assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. The role emphasizes patient safety and effective discharge planning.

The position requires an Associate’s degree in nursing, NJ RN licensure, and BLS; additional credentials (TNCC/ACLS/PALS) are required or obtainable within stated timeframes.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• NJ Registered Nurse license and BLS certification.
• TNCC and 8 hours trauma CNE if assigned to specific units.
• ACLS if assigned to specific units (within 6 months).
• NIH Stroke Scale certification or obtain within orientation.
• PALS/ENPC as applicable for pediatric and other units.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality care through nursing process in collaboration with the team.
• Ensures patient safety by following policies and procedures.
• Supports pain management and patient education on discharge medications.
• Coordinates handoffs and communicates care plans across the team.
• Assesses patient information and plans individualized care and discharge.
• Participates in performance improvement and Joint Commission readiness.
