Qualifications
- NJ RN license is required to practice.
- BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.
- ACLS and NIH certification are preferred.
- Minimum 6 months of nursing experience or Nurse Residency program participation.
- BSN in progress or willingness to pursue within 3 years.
- Willing to undergo chemotherapy competency training within 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Delivery of nursing practices based on current evidence, policies, and standards for safe, individualized care.
- Ongoing communication with patients, families, and health-care team about status and plans.
- Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation systems.
- Real-time electronic documentation of assessments, plans, and evaluations.
- Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
- Discharge planning coordinating multi-disciplinary teams for safe transitions.
