Job summary

Mystic Healthcare is seeking a compassionate RN Supervisor for a part-time role in Mystic, CT. You will oversee nursing staff, ensure high-quality resident care, and partner with the care team to maintain regulatory standards.

With strong leadership and clinical skills, you will guide staff, manage resident assessments, and ensure accurate documentation. This position offers evening, night, and weekend coverage with competitive hourly pay in a supportive facility.

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut.
• Experience as RN in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting; supervisory/charge-nurse experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to assess resident needs, coordinate care, respond to changes in condition, and make sound clinical judgments.
• Dependable with good attendance and ability to work collaboratively as part of a care team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage nursing staff on your shift — ensuring care delivery meets facility standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform or oversee resident assessments, monitor health status, and respond to changes in condition; coordinate with physicians and care team as needed.
• Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance — including resident records, care plans, incident reports, regulatory paperwork, and shift handoffs.
• Oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges as assigned; coordinate with appropriate departments to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Provide direct nursing care when necessary (medications, treatments, IVs, specimen collection), especially during staffing shortages or emergencies.
• Mentor and support assigned staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs), provide guidance, and act as point of contact for staff and resident/family issues.
• Ensure unit compliance with facility policies, state/federal regulations, safety and infection-control standards.

PAY RANGE:

$50.00 - $54.00 per hour
