Job summary

Ryders Health Management is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor for a part-time role at Lord Chamberlain Manor in Stratford, CT. The 24-hour weekly schedule runs 11 PM–7 AM, with shift-specific duties designed to uphold high-quality, resident-centered care and strong unit oversight.

You will supervise nursing staff, assess residents, coordinate with the care team, ensure accurate documentation, and support admissions, transfers, and discharges while providing direct care when needed.

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut.
• Minimum experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment with supervisory or charge-nurse experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage nursing staff on your shift — ensuring care delivery meets facility standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform or oversee resident assessments, monitor health status, and respond to changes in condition; coordinate with physicians and care team as needed.
• Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance — including resident records, care plans, incident reports, regulatory compliance paperwork, and shift handoffs.
• Oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges as assigned; coordinate with appropriate departments to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Provide direct nursing care when necessary (medications, treatments, IVs, specimen collection, etc.), especially during staffing shortages or emergencies.
• Mentor and support assigned staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs), provide guidance, and act as point of contact for staff and resident/family issues.
• Ensure unit compliance with facility policies, state/federal regulations, safety and infection-control standards.
