Ryders Health Management in Stratford, CT is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to oversee nursing staff, maintain care standards, and ensure resident well-being on evening and night shifts.

This 24-hour per week role emphasizes clinical leadership, staff mentoring, compliant documentation, and coordination with physicians to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care at Lord Chamberlain Manor.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut.
• Experience as RN in long-term care or skilled nursing; supervisory/charge nurse preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to assess resident needs, coordinate care and respond to changes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage nursing staff on your shift — ensuring care delivery meets facility standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform or oversee resident assessments, monitor health status, and respond to changes in condition; coordinate with physicians and care team as needed.
• Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance — including resident records, care plans, incident reports, regulatory compliance paperwork, and shift handoffs.
• Oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges as assigned; coordinate with appropriate departments to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Provide direct nursing care when necessary (medications, treatments, IVs, specimen collection, etc.), especially during staffing shortages or emergencies.
• Mentor and support assigned staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs), provide guidance, and act as point of contact for staff and resident/family issues.
• Ensure unit compliance with facility policies, state/federal regulations, safety and infection-control standards.
