Ascension in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead patient care in the PACU, coordinating clinical and interdisciplinary teams during rotating shifts.

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing prior to hire date; licensure may be in Wisconsin or compact/state. Licensure dependent on state operations.

Responsibilities

• Determine patient care requirements and develop and distribute patient care assignments for clinical/non-clinical or interdisciplinary teams, including licensed and non-licensed staff.
• Delegate duties to teams of licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff per State Nurse Practice Act based on assessed skills.
• Gather and utilize information from team members to formulate comprehensive care plans for all patients.
• Contribute to staff hiring for the shift by conducting interviews and offering recommendations to the clinical/non-clinical leader.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State. Licensure is dependent on state associate works in.

Education

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• Bachelors in Nursing preferred.
• PACU or Pre and Post surgical leadership background.
