Job summary

Prisma Health Richland Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for an inpatient care role on the Surgical Stepdown Unit. The nurse will provide direct patient care, coordinate with the multidisciplinary team, and ensure safety and quality in a Magnet-designated hospital setting.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, planning and adjusting care with families, and maintaining compliance with policies, licensure, and infection control. Weekend, holiday, and on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status and determine nursing priorities for the care plan.
• Develop and update plan of care with patient and family in collaboration with the provider and team.
• Provide direct patient care per established nursing plan and clinical guidelines.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise other healthcare team members.
• Ensure patient safety, regulatory compliance, and documentation accuracy.
