Job summary

Prisma Health Richland Hospital is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the Neuroscience & Stroke Unit. The 28-bed telemetry unit delivers specialized neuro care, with a focus on safety, collaboration and patient-family engagement. The role requires adherence to nursing standards, continuous learning and potential weekend/on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Collects data and completes nursing assessment using standard policies and tools.
• Develops and updates an individualized plan of care with patient/family involvement.
• Maintains patient safety and complies with licensing and organizational policies.
• Demonstrates ability to participate in quality improvement and performance audits.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care to assigned patients as per established plan.
• Monitors patient status, communicates changes to team and updates care plan.
• Collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary team for discharge planning.
• Assists in coordinating care and delegating tasks within scope of practice.
