Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a Patient Support Technician for the Stepdown Unit on the night shift. You will assist the Registered Nurse in meeting basic patient needs and perform routine tasks in a fast-paced ICU environment.

The role requires completion of nursing assistant or related training and prior hospital experience is preferred. This is a part-time night position at Richland Hospital, 5 Medical Park Rd, Richland.

Qualifications

• Completion of Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Tech, Medical Assistant or Nursing Fundamentals course.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year hospital clerical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene (bathing, hair care, mouth care).
• Assist with feeding and meal tray setup.
• Assist with ambulation and fall prevention under nurse guidance.
• Assist with elimination needs and monitor inputs/outputs.
• Take and document vitals; report abnormal values to RN.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
