Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Level II Competent Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care and collaborate with the healthcare team to improve quality of care in the designated unit.

The role requires BSN, Virginia RN license (or compact), BLS at hire, ACLS within 60 days, and NIHSS within 90 days. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualifying external candidates.

Qualifications

• BSN is required and Virginia RN license (or compact) is required.
• ACLS within 60 days of hire; BLS at hire.
• NIHSS assessment/tool familiarity required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate patient/family teaching and discharge planning.
• Participate in performance improvement and unit/hospital committees.
• Support unit safety and daily operational activities.
