Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Short Stay Unit. This full-time night-shift role (7p–7a) provides direct, comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge, emphasizing patient safety and quality outcomes.

Requirements include ADN with an active Kentucky RN license; ACLS within 6 months, BLS within 90 days, NIHSS within 6 months, and annual crisis prevention training. BSN is preferred. Competitive benefits are offered.

The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.

Requirements:

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Mandatory nonviolent crisis prevention training to be completed prior to end of orientation period and maintained annually.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recent experience in specialty preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
