Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Weekend Program on the Short Stay Unit. This part-time role covers 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a 25% weekend differential, and focuses on delivering direct comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge.

The RN will meet state licensure requirements, hold ADN, ACLS/BLS per policy, NIHSS, and complete crisis prevention training. Preferred BSN. Benefits include PTO, tuition assistance, paid family leave, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• ADN degree required from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted RN licensure in Kentucky required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• NIHSS required within 6 months of hire.
• Mandatory nonviolent crisis prevention training to be completed prior to end of orientation period and maintained annually.

The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.

Requirements:

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Mandatory nonviolent crisis prevention training to be completed prior to end of orientation period and maintained annually.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recent experience in specialty preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
