Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Weekend Program in the Short Stay Unit. This part-time role covers the 1 PM to 1 AM shift with 15% shift differential and 25% weekend differential.

The RN provides direct, comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge, ensuring quality patient outcomes while adhering to unit protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications

• ADN in nursing from an accredited program.
• Current unrestricted RN license in Kentucky.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• NIHSS within 6 months of hire.
• Mandatory nonviolent crisis prevention training by end of orientation and renewed annually.

The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.


• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.


• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.


• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.


• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required within 6 months of hire.


• Mandatory nonviolent crisis prevention training to be completed prior to end of orientation period and maintained annually.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent experience in specialty preferred.


• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
