Job summary

TriHealth McCullough Hyde Hospital in Oxford, OH is seeking a Part Time Registered Nurse for Same Day Surgery. You will rotate through Admissions, PACU, Recovery and Pain Management, with 28 hours/week and weekend/holiday call rotations. You’ll educate patients, prepare for procedures, and discharge planning in a patient-centered team environment.

Requires an RN license, an ADN/ Diploma, and a BSN within 5 years. BLS (ACLS/PALS may be needed) and 2–3 years inpatient experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing is required.
• New hires must obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS); ACLS/PALS may be required depending on unit.
• Registered Nurse licensure required.
• Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs.
• Recent inpatient nursing experience of 2–3 years minimum.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient/family assessments and document per guidelines.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care based on patient needs.
• Provide safe, ethical, patient-centered care while supporting dignity, diversity and autonomy.
• Prioritize care based on patient condition and unit needs.
• Safely administer medications and treatments; perform skilled tasks per policy.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions.

Position Overview:

This RN role will rotate through Admissions, PACU, Recovery and also Pain Management.Responsible for preparing patients for procedures, recovering patients, educating patients and families prior to discharge.Position has rotating call/close days and holidays.Works with a strong team in a very patient driven environment.
