Job summary

TriHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for ICU at Bethesda Butler Hospital in Hamilton, OH. This part-time weekend night shift (7:00am–7:30pm) offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits. Requires ADN/Diploma, RN license, BLS/CPR, and ICU experience.

New BSN must be completed within 5 years. We value collaborative physician–nurse partnerships, ongoing professional development, and a culture focused on patient dignity and safety.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing required.
  • New hires must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
  • BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers required.
  • Registered Nurse licensure required.
  • 2–3 years ICU/critical care nursing experience preferred.
  • Membership in related professional organization preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document initial and ongoing patient/family assessments.
  • Develop, communicate, and update plans of care including discharge planning.
  • Provide safe, patient-centered care supporting autonomy, dignity, and diversity.
  • Recognize and respond to emergencies and take appropriate clinical action.
  • Carry out physician orders accurately and timely.
  • Complete assigned care and documentation within required timeframes.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely per policy.
  • Evaluate patient responses and revise the plan of care with the team.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to other team members.

Work Schedule:


  • Part Time Nights- (48 hours bi-weekly)

  • Weekends only

  • 7:00am-7:30pm

  • Holiday rotation

Job Requirements:


  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing required

  • New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.

  • BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)

  • Registered Nurse licensure

  • Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs a various stages of the life cycle

  • Preferred membership in related professional organization

  • Previous ICU/critical care nursing experience required (minimum of 2-3 years)

  • Preferred certification in specialty


Job Responsibilities:


  • Perform and document initial and ongoing patient/family assessments.

  • Develop, communicate, and update individualized plans of care, including discharge planning.

  • Provide safe, patient–centered care that supports autonomy, dignity, and diversity.

  • Recognize and respond to emergencies and take appropriate clinical action.

  • Carry out physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Complete assigned care and documentation within required timeframes.

  • Administer medications/treatments safely and perform technical skills per policy.

  • Evaluate patient responses and revise the plan of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.

  • Supervise and delegate tasks appropriately to other team members.

  • Serve as a clinical resource and support training/education of staff and students.

  • Maintain current clinical knowledge and adhere to organizational and departmental standards.

  • Function in relief charge/resource roles as requested.
