Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Topeka, KS is seeking a day shift, part-time Wound Care Registered Nurse to join our team. The role focuses on coordinating safe patient care while supporting wound care protocols and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safe patient care for diverse patient populations under the Nurse Director/Manager.
• Assess needs, develop and revise goals and plans to meet biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of patients/families.
• Delegate care appropriately to optimize patient outcomes and ensure compliance with Kansas Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse functions under the direction of the Nurse Director/Manager and is responsible for the coordination of safe patient care delivery for specified and diverse patient populations.
• The RN assesses patient/family needs, develops and prioritizes patient goals, evaluates care delivery, and continually revises the plan of care to meet the biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of the patient/family.
• The RN Delegates care as appropriate to optimize patient outcomes.
• The RN adheres to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in nursing
• Current Kansas RN Licensure.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Telemetry, ICU, and PCU need ACLS
• Post Surgery requires oncology certification.
• Specific Certificationsare required within one year of hire

Preferred Job Requirements:

• 4-Year Degree
• At least one year of recent experience in a similar healthcare setting.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
